Job Title: Data Engineer (AWS Data Solutions & Databricks)

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer specialized in AWS Stack and Databricks, with familiarity in Power BI. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing ETL Pipelines, and creating new ones to meet evolving business needs, as well as helping design enhancements to existing and new applications hosted in AWS stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integration: Utilize Databricks for data integration, transformation, and analysis to support dashboard/Reporting/Analytics and API development.
- Data Analysis: Conduct data preparation for business analysis to support decisions and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data visualization specialists, business analysts, and IT to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and dashboard functionalities for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Application Support: understand, support and enhance the current applications ecosystem in AWS for business support.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AWS stack, Python and SQL queries
- Experience with Databricks for data integration and analysis.
- Experience in AWS Familiarity with Glue Jobs, step functions, Lambda functions, S3 buckets and triggers, IAM users and roles, IaC experience (Terraform), Redshift.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues and challenges.
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in data Engineering or a related field, in AWS Cloud environments as well as integrations from different data sources and models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL and data querying.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
